I'm Laura Bell, an RN with 20 years of experience and currently a student of nutritional therapy.
I don't chase symptoms. I use them as a guide to uncover the root cause of what's out of balance. My approach is grounded in the conviction that the body has an innate capacity to heal.
This conviction was born from my own journey as a mother. When my son struggled with chronic eczema, I discovered that conventional approaches only offered temporary relief. By shifting our focus to nutrient-dense, whole-food nutrition, we began to heal his gut and nourish his skin from the inside out. Witnessing his skin clear and his vitality return taught me that when we provide the body with the right building blocks, it can resolve even the most stubborn imbalances.
I'm currently completing my certification through the Nutritional Therapy Association and will begin seeing clients in Summer 2027. Until then, I'm using this platform to share what I'm learning — through blog posts, webinars, and practical resources.
My approach will be built on what Nutritional Therapy calls "The Foundations of Health." These are the five cornerstones of wellness that, when properly supported, allow health to flow naturally.

Whole, thoughtfully prepared, foods are a source of joy and nourish the body with the nutrients it needs to thrive.

What we eat has little impact if we can’t digest and absorb the nutrients. Proper digestive function is essential for the health of every cell and system.

From energy balance, metabolism, and inflammation to hormone production and mental health, blood sugar regulation is crucial to maintaining wellness.

Adequate, quality sleep is essential for optimal physiological and cognitive function.

We cannot always control our stressors, but managing our response to stress has profoundly positive physical and mental impacts on health.
When these foundations are strong and balanced, they create a synergy that allows your body to thrive naturally. Think of them as the roots of a tree—when nourished properly, they support vibrant growth above.
A Nutritional Therapist helps you understand and strengthen these foundations in a way that's tailored to your unique body and lifestyle.
Nutritional therapy isn't about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. It's about creating a robust foundation for lasting health, giving your body the support it needs to function at its best.
Nutritional therapy offers a sustainable path to wellness by addressing root causes and tailoring strategies to your unique needs. While I'm still completing my certification, you don't have to wait on the sidelines.
